The 3 main parts of a typical PV are the battery, the atomizer and the cartridge.
[edit] Battery
The battery is the power supply, the bulk of the device and on some device also carry the on/off switch.
[edit] Atomizer
Also known as the "atty", these are what heats up to vaporize the liquid nicotine juice in your cartridge.
[edit] Cartridge
This is the part that holds the nicotine liquid. It is generally stuffed with a nylon or other heat resistant filling that absorbs fluids. The atomizer touches this while it is wet causing the nicotine to vaporize and be inhaled.
[edit] Cartomizer
Some e-cigs come with a combination cartridge and atomizer all in one that is called a cartomizer. This makes them more disposable.
